Circa Lighting Pendant Collection | Generation Lighting
Our circa lighting pendant brings refined simplicity to kitchens, dining rooms, and entryways with a hand-forged steel frame and curved glass shade. Each fixture is assembled in our US facility using premium components—solid brass sockets, hand-blown glass, and a multi-stage powder coat finish that resists corrosion and fading. The design honors mid-century modern proportions while offering LED compatibility and adjustable cord length for ceilings eight to twelve feet high. We engineered the shade mount to eliminate visible hardware, creating a floating effect that works equally well in contemporary lofts and traditional farmhouses. Available in Aged Iron, Burnished Brass, and Soft White finishes, this pendant ships fully wired with a five-year warranty covering finish and electrical components.

We hand-forge every steel frame from 14-gauge cold-rolled stock, then apply a six-stage powder coat process that includes zinc phosphate pre-treatment and a 400°F cure cycle. The Aged Iron finish develops a subtle patina over the first six months of use, while Burnished Brass maintains its luster with a clear topcoat. Soft White uses a marine-grade epoxy that resists yellowing in high-humidity environments.

Sizing & placement guidelines
The eight-inch shade diameter works best over kitchen islands 48 to 72 inches long—we recommend spacing two or three pendants 24 to 30 inches apart for balanced coverage. Hang the bottom of the shade 30 to 36 inches above the countertop to avoid head clearance issues while preserving task lighting.
For dining tables, a single pendant centers well over round tables up to 54 inches in diameter; rectangular tables longer than six feet benefit from two pendants spaced evenly. In entryways, allow at least seven feet of clearance below the lowest point of the shade to prevent tall guests from bumping the fixture. The adjustable cord ships at 36 inches and extends to 72 inches by loosening the grip ring inside the canopy—no rewiring required.

Installation & electrical compatibility
Wiring & canopy setup
The pendant includes a round canopy (five inches in diameter) with integrated strain relief and a pre-wired pigtail connector that mates with standard 120V junction boxes. Ground, neutral, and hot leads are color-coded and terminated with push-in connectors—no wire nuts needed. The canopy mounts with two screws (included) and covers boxes up to four inches wide.
Dimming & bulb recommendations
We spec the socket for compatibility with Lutron, Leviton, and most leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmers rated for LED loads. Pair the fixture with a 9W to 15W LED A19 bulb in 2700K or 3000K for warm ambient light, or choose a 60W incandescent Edison bulb for a vintage look. Avoid exceeding 100W incandescent equivalent to prevent overheating the socket and voiding the warranty. The dimmable range spans 10% to 100% brightness with smooth transitions and no audible hum.

Questions about our circa lighting pendant collection
The pendant accepts bulbs up to 100W incandescent equivalent or 23W LED. Exceeding this rating can overheat the socket and void the warranty. We recommend 9W to 15W LED bulbs in 2700K or 3000K for optimal light quality and energy efficiency. The socket is dimmable and compatible with most residential dimmer switches rated for LED loads.
Yes—the pendant carries a UL damp-location rating for spaces with humidity up to 85% non-condensing. This covers bathrooms, covered porches, and laundry rooms. Avoid fully outdoor or wet-location installations where the fixture would be exposed to direct rain or spray. The powder coat finish resists moisture better than painted alternatives.
Loosen the grip ring inside the canopy by turning it counterclockwise, then pull the cord to your desired length between 36 and 72 inches. Tighten the grip ring to lock the cord in place—no rewiring or cutting required. The canopy hides the excess cord so adjustments remain invisible. If you need a length shorter than 36 inches, contact our support team for a custom cord kit.
The Soft White finish uses marine-grade epoxy that resists yellowing and is easiest to wipe clean after grease or steam exposure. Aged Iron develops a natural patina that hides minor wear, while Burnished Brass requires occasional polishing to maintain luster in high-humidity environments. All three finishes include a clear topcoat for added protection.
The circa lighting pendant ships with an eight-inch diameter seeded glass shade as standard. The seeded texture diffuses light evenly and reduces glare. We do not offer alternate shade sizes or textures for this model, but our pendant collection includes fixtures with clear, frosted, and ribbed glass options in various diameters. Contact our design team if you need help matching a shade style to your space.
The included canopy mounts to standard flat junction boxes only. For sloped ceilings, purchase our adapter kit (sold separately) that accommodates angles up to 45 degrees. The adapter installs between the junction box and the pendant canopy, maintaining a plumb hang. Vaulted ceilings may require a longer downrod if the adjustable cord does not provide sufficient drop—our customer service team can recommend compatible extension rods.
The warranty covers defects in finish (chipping, peeling, discoloration) and electrical components (socket, wiring, canopy). It does not cover damage from improper installation, bulbs exceeding the rated wattage, or normal wear in commercial environments. The hand-blown glass shade carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Register your pendant within 30 days of purchase at our website to activate full warranty coverage and receive priority support.
